In Memoriam: Mike Fassnacht

—Michael Leroy Fassnacht (Da) 68, born Oct. 29, 1946, in Vallejo, California, to Archie and Alene Dorl Fassnacht. Mike passed from this life on March 9, 2015. He graduated from Stillwater High School in 1968. Married Pam Brooner on June 6, 1965, and enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1966. Mike served in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969. Mike was baptized in the Cua Viet River while serving in Vietnam, surrounded by gunboats and many friends. In 1971 Pam and Mike relocated to Pawnee, where they lived for 37 years and raised their two boys, Sam and John.
Mike retired from OG&E in 2008. After retirement, he and Pam traveled and made their home in Perry, Oklahoma. Mike loved to fish, hunt, cook, and be outdoors.
Mike is survived by Pam, his wife of 49 years; sons, John and wife Beth of Pawnee, and Sam and wife Deanna of Perry; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be graveside at Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry, Oklahoma, at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015. The care of the family is under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral home. Online condolences may be made to www.brown-duggerfuneralhome.com
